K-5 REMOTE LEARNING PLANNING INFORMATION
K-5 Social Studies consists of a series of lessons that are used in hybrid and virtual learning this year. Lessons are filmed weekly and shown on WCNY. Teachers use resources such as Seesaw to supplement and support the lessons that are being presented. New mento texts are being used this ear for teacher feedback as the department is examing how it can better align its resources to be more culturally responsive.

Students should embark on an investigation through a Reading Like a Historian Lesson or Inquiry and utilize and complete analysis tasks throughout the task. Regents courses may want to consider using the HIPE Analysis Task as it is aligned to key Regents standards and prepares for the exam.
